Elaine Frances Moore (84), Boerne, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 17, 2018. Elaine was born January 3, 1934 in Danbury, CT to Ann and Gerhardt Baur. She married Jack Moore, Sr. on October 24, 1953 while both were serving in the USAF. Jack’s military service took them to many locations including Wyoming, Alabama, Japan, California, Hawaii and North Dakota before retiring in Boerne in 1997. They were true patriots serving the country they both loved. Jack preceded her in death in 2011. Elaine enjoyed gardening, reading, living out her faith while serving in her church and spirited political discussions.
Surviving Jack and Elaine are three children: Jack Moore, Jr. (Cindy), Terry Moore (Natalie) and Sandra Ruelle (Mark); nine grandchildren (Erin, Nicholas, Alisha, Trenten, Rachel, Michelle, Emily, Madison, Nelson); and three great grandchildren (Maxwell, Samuel, Isabella) who carry on their legacy. Elaine’s sister, Carolyn Latas, also survives. Her other siblings (Gerald, Ann Marie, and Walter) preceded her in death.
