Eileen Marie (Plunkett) Heiselmann, aged 83, died peacefully on September 5, 2014, under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho at Fairwinds-Sandcreek Assisted Living in Idaho Falls, with family, friends, and caring staff at her side. Eileen was born June 11, 1931 in Wadsworth, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Irene Plunkett. Her family moved to Chicago, Illinois when she was eight years old, where she attended Catholic elementary and high schools, graduating from Alvernia Catholic Girl’s school in 1949. She met her best friend and the love of her life, Harry William Heiselmann, while growing up in Chicago and they married on June 9, 1951. Shortly after that, Harry was drafted into the army during the Korean War, and she accompanied him to Huntsville, Alabama and to Pasadena, California where she worked as a staff assistant at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
