HORAN, EILEEN (nee QUINN), 80 – a wife, mother, aunt and friend who graced us with her tremendous hospitality, faith, indomitable spirit and determination on March 18. Native of the East Falls section of Philadelphia and Avalon NJ, and resident of Franklinville since 1976. Formerly of Turnersville. Survived by her favorite daughter Janice, her sister Barbara O’Malley, sister-in-law Ellen Quinn (nee Wiest, widow of Jimmy), former brother-in-law Jim O’Malley, by her cousins through marriage Richard and Dorothy (Smith) Hofer and Doris Hanna (nee Mooney, widow of Sam), as well as by other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pre-deceased by her parents Owen and Mary (Farrell) Quinn, her husband, partner and best friend of 50 years Bob, her mother-in –law Dorothy Ehly Horan, her father-in-law Robert Horan, her grandmother-in-law Emma Horan, her brothers Owen, Francis, Jimmy and Joe, her sister-in-law Barbara Sullivan Quinn and her dear friends June and Henry Burhenne. Will be missed most deeply by Morgan, her border collie and joyous companion. A graduate of St. Bridget’s Primary School (East Falls) and member of the first full graduating class at Wildwood Catholic (NJ), Eileen and her sister Barbara were the choir at St. Paul’s in Stone Harbor and in the mission church at Maris Stella in the 1950s, and Eileen also sang with the SS Peter & Paul Folk Group in Turnersville during the 1980s and 1990s.
