Eileen Foley Fitzpatrick, of Fairfield, beloved wife of 63 years of the late William J. Fitzpatrick, Jr., passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family Sunday, January 13, 2019. Born June 6, 1923 in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice Flanagan Foley, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1952. She was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, class of 1941 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Albertus Magnus College. Upon graduation, she worked for Parke- Davis Laboratories in Bridgeport where she was given the responsibility of opening up a new Lab in Detroit, Michigan, quite unusual for a young woman in the 1940s. Following World War II, Eileen returned to Connecticut and married long-time sweetheart Bill. She remained at home raising their four children before returning to work in 1968 for the Diocese of Bridgeport. She was a parishioner of St.
