Efrain “Frank” G. Freeman, 61, passed away Tuesday after an illness. He was born in Pawtucket, a son of Shirley A. Jackson and the late Albert Lessa. Frank lived most of his life in the city. He was one of the founding members of the ‘Brothers Inc. MC’ who worked with kids in the Silver Lake area, coaching baseball and raising funds to help charities of the neighborhood. Frank had been employed at Rambone Truck Repair for some time and also was associated with the restaurant industry.
Besides his mother, he is survived by 2 sons, Efrain G. Freeman Jr. of Pawtucket, Anthony Gagnon of No. Smithfield and a daughter Michelle Gagnon of No. Providence. He also leaves 3 brothers, Wesley Freeman of Cranston, who was his best friend, Story Lessa of East Providence and David Lessa of Maine and 4 Grandchildren, Frank III, Tianna, Ciara and Sophia. Also several nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles. He was the brother of the late Tyronne Lessa, Kevin Lessa and Dorothy Lessa.
