DURHAM Mrs. Effie Fletcher Sherron, 86, of Creedmoor, died on Tuesday, September 6, . Sherron was born in Durham to the late David Wiley Fletcher and Lena Creech Fletcher. She was a homemaker and an active member of Olive Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Northside Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Allen Sherron and a great-granddaughter, Julie is survived by her son, Ray F. Sherron( Emma); three daughters, Ellen Poe (Alex), Janice Rogers (Charlie) and Mary Sue Carper (Chuck); one brother, Eugene Fletcher; one sister, Ruby Edwards; granddaughter, Cindi Murphy (Rick); grandsons, Kenny Rogers, CJ Carper, US Navy (Erika), Robbie Poe, Scott Rogers (Jannon), Thomas Sherron and 7 great-grandchildren.
