Edwina (Kucharski) Watroba of Easthampton, MA, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2021 at the age of 91.
Edwina leaves her son Don Watroba and his wife Susan Watroba, her daughters Deborah Daly, Paula Guczek and husband Ed, Mary E. (Mimi) Watroba LaRoche and her husband Ed, Melanie Huntington and her husband Lynn and Lisa Devoie and her husband John, her grandchildren, Megan Daly, Emily (Daly) Matthews and her husband Steve, Jonathan Guczek, Jack Daly, Nathan Ogulewicz, John Devoie, Brittany Guczek, Mollie Devoie and Audrey Devoie along with many nieces and nephews who referred to her as Auntie Babe. Besides her parents, Edwina was predeceased by her husband John F. Watroba of 53 years, her sisters, Jean Chmura, Edna Kucharski, Lottie Bladja, Mollie Grace, Irene Zima, her brothers Walter Kucharski & Freddie Kucharski as well as her son-in-law Kevin Daly.
Edwina graduated from Hopkins Academy and from the Sisters of Providence Hospital School of Nursing. Early on in her nursing career she worked in the hospital setting as well as private duty nursing. She spent the remainder of her life raising and caring for her family along with her nine grandchildren.
She enjoyed working around the house, doing gardening, cooking and also making her famous Polish bread and butter (Ogorki) pickles for family and friends.
Edwina loved her morning routine of solving the daily jumble, playing scrabble and working on her crossword puzzles. She enjoyed not only her weekend polka music but attending polish dances with her husband John at local Polish American Clubs.
