Edwin A. Jaroszewski, Jr., 69, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at 10:25 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend, IN, following an illness.
Edwin was born on May 17, 1952 to the late Edwin A., Sr. and Mary A. (Wierzycki) Jaroszewski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with his parents; one brother, William J. Jaroszewski also preceded him in death.
Ed attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated in 1970 from the former LaSalle High School in South Bend, where he played clarinet, the saxophone, and composed music in the band. He was always interested in the arts, especially classical and big bands. Ed’s interests led him into broadcasting, where he could be found at the WSND 88.9 Radio Station (Notre Dame Student Radio Station), where he was the Station Engineer for many years, before retiring in 2018. Ed also worked as an Electrician for stage productions at the Morris Performing Arts Center and was a Movie Projectionist for local movie theatres, following in his father’s footsteps.
Ed is survived by his sister, Carol A. Brown of Osceola, IN; five nieces, Susan (Jeff) Robinson of Dowagiac, MI; Janine (Troy) DeShone of Bristol, IN; Debbie Duncan of South Bend, IN; Amanda (Dan) Kalmar of Elkhart, IN; Sara (Mark) Million of Mishawaka, IN; and two nephews, Duane Brown of Osceola, IN; and Eric (Tina) Brown of South Bend, IN.
Ed was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish in South Bend, IN and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church for several years, where he was a lector at Sunday Masses. He was also a member of IATSE Local Union 187 in South Bend, IN, where he was involved for nearly 50 years.
