Edward William Milisits II, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Case) Milisits with whom he shared over 36 years of loving marriage. Born on December 31, 1953, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edward W. and Margaret I. (Faust) Milisits.

 

Ed graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University in 1975 as well as summa cum laude with a M.M. in Music Education in 1982. He later worked on postgraduate courses through Indiana University, Bloomington, IN and LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Ed retired on June 23, 2009 from the Easton Area School District (EASD) after 33 years of service. While with the EASD, Ed served as the Director of Choral Activities and the K-12 Music coordinator for the district. During his years as a teacher, Ed had such a significant influence on his students, that many followed him when he became the artistic director of the Lehigh Valley Meistersingers and Lehigh Valley Chorale. Ed also enjoyed serving as a guest conductor, clinician, adjudicator, and consultant throughout the northeast. Ed’s legacy continues to live on through the impact he had on the lives of his family, friends, and students.

 

SURVIVORS: Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife Stephanie; son, Edward W. Milisits III; brothers, William E. Milisits and wife Roslieb, and Mark A. Milisits and wife Michelle.
