Edward Vance Mozina, age 79, of Salem, died at 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1936 in Piney Fork, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Agnes (Pintar) Mozina.
Ed retired in 1998 as an inspector from the former E.W. Bliss Company where he had worked in the Assembly Department for 43 years. After retiring he worked at the Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course in Lake Milton mowing grass for 17 years. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and a 1954 graduate of Salem High School where he played football.
Ed was a loving husband and father and especially loved his grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and reader, who also enjoyed crossword and Sudoku puzzles and polka music. He also was a huge Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
His wife, Jeannette M. (DeFelice) Mozina, whom he married July 7, 1962, survives him along with a son, Michael Edward (Kara) Mozina of Carmel, Indiana; a daughter, Mary (Paul) Raitano of Medina, OH; two sisters, Jenny Jackson and Mary Birchak both of Salem; a brother, Frank Mozina of Salem; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher and Abigail Raitano and Ann and Mark Mozina.
