Obituary
Edward Thomas “Tommy” Thompson, 65, of Elizaville, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his home.
Born in Maysville on March 7, 1956, he was the son of the late Lewis Thompson and the late Mary Ann Riley Thompson.
Tommy was a very social person who loved being around people and had many friends. He was outgoing and thrived in the spotlight. He loved music and dancing.
Tommy graduated from Mason County Vocational School with a two year degree in diesel mechanics and welding. He was employed by Bobby’s Auto Sales for 12 years. He then worked at Browning’s / Emerson’s/ Regal’s in Maysville and then in Morehead at the time he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debra McRoberts Thompson; his four children, Thomas Cody Thompson, Laticia Nicole Whisman, Melinda Rene Gilvin (Jamie), Thomas Clay Thompson; his seven grandchildren, Brittany Hunt (Adam), Tyler Dailey, Connor Whisman, Ashley Maze, Braiden LaMarche, Skylar Thompson, Cameron Thompson; his three great grandchildren, Harlow Hunt, Bodhi Hunt, Marshall Dailey. He is also survived by his three sisters; Terri Moore, Betty Wallace, Jenny Russell; one brother, Donnie Thompson; one sister-in-law, Faye Thompson; along with his best friend, Bill Frederick; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hayswood Home Health and Saint Claire Hospice whose concern and help with Tommy is greatly appreciated.
Pallbearers include Bill Frederick, Mike Hinton, Dean Muse, Willard Logan, Rick Cerna, and Rick Stacy. Honorary pallbearers include Thomas Clay Thompson and Connor Whisman.
