Edward John “Skip” Parr, Jr., of Cromwell, passed on from this life and into our Lord’s arms on June 12, 2015 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hartford on January 3, 1950, Skip graduated from Guilford High School. He also attended college out west on a baseball scholarship where he played in the minor league for the San Diego Padres. This was not Skip’s only talent. An avid golfer and member of Rolling Greens Golf Club in Rocky Hill, he won several of the club’s championships. He was also a dedicated member of the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill Elks Lodge for 36 years and was a former owner of a local cleaning business for many years. Outgoing, fun-loving and quick-witted, Skip was a friend to all he met. He leaves his mother, Eileen Parr; a sister, Jean Feegel and her husband, Robert all of New Hampshire. A kind and loving husband and father he also leaves his devoted wife, Dale, of 37 years; daughter, Jamie and his son, Jeffrey and partner, Jessica Bogdan, as well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends, Donny Popek and Barry Erb. Many others will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his father Edward John Par, Sr.
