Sieling,Edward W. 91, of St. Petersburg, passed on December 13, 2016, after a brief illness. Born in Chicago, Ed moved to St. Petersburg with his family in 1955. He was very active in the community as a member of St. Petersburg Jaycees and Rotary Clubs. He also served as past-president of the Exchange Club. He was active in The Shriner’s organization and was a member of the Shriner Motorcycle Unit. His love of music showed in his 50-year-membership and as past president of the local chapter of the Barbershop singing organization. He was also an avid bridge player and spent many afternoons playing at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Ed was a Lifetime member of the American Legion and past president of the Swedish Club. He stayed fit as a member of the YMCA for many years playing badminton in a senior’s league and enjoying the pool. He was owner of Given & Sieling Insurance until his retirement. He will be greatly missed by Ruth, his wife of 70 years and the rest of his family — his son, Jack Sieling, and daughters Susan Rivers and Barbara Sieling and his brother Ronald Sieling of Chicago. His grandchildren Lynne and her husband Gary Crockenburg, Jason Sieling and great-grandson Cole Hunter are also grieving his passing..
