Edward “Shack” Schiller, 95, of Sawyer, Michigan died Sunday morning, December 12, 2010, at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman, Michigan.
Mr. Schiller was born March 6, 1915 to Benjamin and Hilda Schiller in Sawyer, Michigan. He was a veteran of the US Army and the US Airforce, serving his country during WWII and stationed in Africa. He married Evelyn Schmidt on December 29, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer. Mr. Schiller was a Master Electrician and member of the IBEW at South Bend, Indiana since 1945, retiring in 1980.
He enjoyed radio repair, fishing and gardening. Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law Edward and Loretta Schiller of Troy, Michigan; grandson, Kyle Schiller, and many nieces and nephews.
