Edward Scott Watson, 44, of Elkhart, passed away from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident at 7:52 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, on Elkhart’s near north side.

He was born in Buckhannon, W.Va., on Feb. 20, 1970, to Thomas L. and Rose M. (Williams) Watson. They survive him in Elkhart.

Also surviving are his sons, Ryun T. and Ian S. Watson, both of Elkhart; daughter Robyn R. Watson of Union, Mich.; brothers Jonathan T. Watson of Phoenix and Spencer C. (Maxie) Watson of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Rita Perillo of Elkhart; a grandson, Ryder Watson; and three nieces, Nikki, Cheyanne and Victoria Perillo.

Visitation will be at Billings Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, followed by a funeral at noon. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola immediately following services. Pastor Ray Caudill will officiate.

Scott worked in accounting and maintenance for Family Nursing Services Inc. of Elkhart for many years. Since 2008, he co-founded New Day Home Inc., where he was dedicated to helping people live free of drugs and alcohol. He also had a deep love for music and was quite talented with a guitar and drums. He enjoyed his children immensely and liked to spend time with them and his dogs.
