Edward Richard Vokoun III of Fair Oaks Ranch TX . was born on March 10, 1954 in Houston TX. He passed away on Monday March 3, 2014 at the age of 59. Ed worked at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, S.C. In a tribute to Ed shortly before his death, Rich Salizzone wrote : “I wanted each of you to know the positive influence Ed has been and continues to be at our site. His positive attitude before and most incredibly after his diagnosis, is an inspiration. His legacy of changing people for the better will endure long after we have lost him.” “We can all rejoice and feel blessed that we know Ed and the way he makes us all better people.” That describes how Ed lived his life every day . Ed is survived by his wife of 33 years Glennie of Fair Oaks Ranch and his son Carl Pendergraft-Vokoun of Austin, TX. Ed is also survived by two brothers. Doug and his wife Connie of Fleming Island , Florida and Tom and wife Cathy of Stuart Florida. Nephews, David and Steven. Nieces Kristen and Savannah. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Elaine Vokoun and his brother John. Ed loved Christmas and it was the highlight of the season to go shopping and buy lots of toys to donate to the toy drive for children. He also loved animals and most of the 14+ dogs he owned in his lifetime were rescued. How he loved his dogs, they brought him great joy ! Sandra, Ziggy and Max will surely miss him. It was Ed”s wish to not to have any services.
