Edward Ray Ogden, 72, Alexandria, died July 18, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born March 27, 1930 in Marion, Indiana, and resided in Alexandria, Indiana. He lived in this area most of his life. He retired in 1992 from Rosema Construction in Muncie after 6 years of service. He worked as a lather & carpenter for Paul Maines Construction in Anderson for 35 years prior. He served in the US Navy for 5 years. He was part of the 1st crew that built Community Hospital in Anderson. He also worked on the ceiling of Reardon Auditorium and the new courthouse. He enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married March 30, 1951 in Riverside, California: Barbara J. Blatnik Ogden. One Daughter: Linda & husband Patrick Kinney of Bloomington, Illinois. Two Sons: Rodney R. & wife Helen Ogden of Ridgeville. Jeffrey D. & wife Kelly Ogden of Anderson. One Brother: Melvin E. Ogden of Marion. Seven Grandchildren: Patricia & husband, Roy Houston and Caroline Kinney, all of Bloomington, Illinois. Dawn Ogden of Muncie. Lisa Hinshaw of Florida. Kirby Ogden, Kaleb Ogden and Krosley Ogden, all of Anderson. Four Great Grandchildren: Karigan Houston, Reid Houston, Stormi Metcalf and Zachary Metcalf. Special Friends: Conrad & Juanita Burgess of Florida. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Melvin A. & Opal Powers Ogden. Sister: June Eiswirth.
