Edward R. Hubbs of Burlington Township passed away in Marcella Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday at the age of 88. Edward served his country honorably during World War II in the US Army. He was wounded in combat on France and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He continued to serve his country and went to work at Ft. Dix and retired in 1980 as a supervisor. He belonged to the VFW and enjoyed watching baseball. His true hobby was being outside, gardening, tending to his flowers and veggies. Ed was known for his green thumb.

Predeceased by his brother Robert and wife Minerva, he is survived by a brother Richard “Dick” L. Hubbs; children Jacquelyn (Stephen) Waszkiewicz, Richard D.(Kathy) Hubbs, Connie Roszelle, Craig (Debbie) Wills, Debbie (Jim) Roe; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; nephew Eddie; niece Shirley and great nieces, nephews and cousins.
