Edward P. Preteska, 85, of Waterbury passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at VITAS IPU of St. Mary’s. He was the loving husband of Marie (Cerminara) Preteska. Born January 1, 1937 in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Peter and Helen (Kapral) Preteska.
Besides his wife Marie, Ed is survived by his daughter Shannon (Michael) Ligi, and sons Erik (Kim ) Preteska of Trumbull and Shane Preteska of Waterbury. He also leaves his 6 grandchildren, a niece and sister-in-law Gail Preteska. Ed was predeceased by his brother Richard Preteska and sister Barbara O’Neill.
