Edward Paul Jaworski passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 after a long illness. Ed was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and lived part of his adult life in Manhattan. He is survived by his wife, Terry Kocon who he was married to for 38 years; sister Doris O’Brien of Houston; sisters-in-law Kathy Kocon and Liz Levine and her husband, Daved Levine; and brother-in-law Mark Kocon, all of Albuquerque. Ed is also survived by his mother-in-law, Margaret Kocon of Albuquerque, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, who loved their Uncle Eddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Jaworski and sister, Diane Zavacki, all of New York, and his father-in-law, Ted Kocon of Albuquerque.

Ed lived a colorful life and had several careers including New York City police officer, bar and restaurant manager, salesman and residential realtor. He always had a story to tell, making him successful at all of these careers. Ed met Terry in Greenwich Village at a Country & Western nightclub called City Limits, where Ed worked. They married in 1984, loved living in Manhattan where they enjoyed the museums, restaurants, music scene and frequent trips to the beaches and Montauk. They moved back to Terry’s hometown of Albuquerque where they immediately took to the new lifestyle of hiking and golf. They enjoyed traveling and had many weekend golf getaways in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.

Heartfelt appreciation is given to the wonderful and loving caregivers at Hummingbird Assisted Living where Ed spent his final days.
