H. Edward Ore, 82, of Virginia, IL died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born February 6, 1931 in the Fancy Prairie area of Morgan County, IL, the son of Harold F. and Emma E. Jokisch Ore. He married Beverly Murphy on June 18, 1950 in Virginia and she survives.
He is also survived by three children, Fred Ore (wife, Debra) of Beardstown, Linda Damotte (husband, Tom) of Virginia, and Jim Ore of Virginia; eleven grandchildren, Jason Ore (wife, Glencora), Cassie Stewart (husband, Dan), Jeffrey Ore, Anna Hayman (husband, Ryan), John Ore, Katie Ore, Brittney Ore, Tessa Ore, Kya Ore, John Carl Wubker (wife, Trisa), and Megan Marie Ore; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Marie Doyle (husband, Don) of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Ore was a livestock and grain farmer in Cass County for many years. In addition, he operated a trucking service hauling hay, grain and livestock. The balance of his time was devoted to his family. He enjoyed bluegrass music, auto racing, and travel experiences with his family.
