Edward L. Giacobazzi, 84, of LaSalle, died December 31, 2006 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
He was born July 13, 1922 in Cherry to Louis and Mary (Tarro) Giacobazzi. He worked at Caterpillar in Aurora as a machinist for 26 years. He served in the Navy during WWII in the Philippines. He married Charlotte L. Delaney on May 25, 1947 in Peru. She died on October 5, 1992. He married Ila Anderson on February 23, 1993 in Hardy, Arkansas. She died on July 3, 2006. He was a member of the UAW Machinists union in Aurora.
He is survived by: 1 son, Marvin (Cindy) Giacobazzi of Wheatland, Wyoming; 2 stepsons, Daryl (Sandy) Anderson of Bolingbrook, and Duane (Pat) Anderson of San Diego, CA; 1 stepdaughter, Jeri (Ted) Shick of Yorkville; 2 grandchildren; 1 brother, Louis (Pearl) Giacobazzi; and 3 nephews.
