WINSTED VERETTO – Edward John Veretto, 46, of Greenwoods Garden, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008. Born October 31, 1961 in Winsted, CT; the son of Barbara (Opperman) Veretto of Torrington and the late Willis Veretto, Sr. Edie was easily recognizable in the community in his red # 24 cap and his jeans on his long, looping walks around town. He was a private person but those who did know him, knew a kind and helpful individual. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and Barney. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Richard Veretto of MA; an aunt, Shirley Mornhineway of Middletown; and a cousin, Steven Sedlack of Winsted. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother, Willis Veretto, Jr.
