Edward James Pearce, 76, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2021, at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Ed, as he was known to many, was born in Marquette, Michigan to parents John and Florence (Clayton) Pearce.

Ed joined the United States Navy Reserves and served in the Vietnam War. Upon his return he met his one and true love Virginia “Ginger” to whom he married. He then reenlisted into the United States Coast Guard, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 1991. Ed honorably served his country for 24 years. Upon his retirement, he and his family settled in Arizona where he then worked as a state employee until he retired a second time in 2008.

Ed enjoyed raising and loving his daughters over the years and sharing his love of traveling, camping, and fishing with the family.

Ed and Ginger recently celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary. Ed was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Ginger, daughters Kristin (Estephan) Ybarra and Michelle Hoiby, granddaughter Alexis Hoiby and other extended family members.
