Edward J. Zynko, age 77, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Betty Jean Vasko Zynko, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born in Bridgeport on July 5, 1939 to the late Michael and Helen Tolubinski Zynko. He was a US Air Force Veteran and worked for many years as a meat cutter at several local establishments. Later in life he became a job coach at the Hartford School for the blind. Ed loved his family and his God with all his soul. He worked his entire life to make sure his family was cared for. Ed was a wonderful conversationalist, a movie buff, historian and loved to read. Survivors include his children; Dawn (James) Serreti of Stratford, Edward E. (Evelyn) Zynko of New Haven, Peter Zynko of Milford, Samantha Zynko, and Chris Grasso (Amy) of New Hampshire, his many loved foster children, brother, Stanley Michael Zynko, 12 grandchildren; RJ, Rachael, Christopher, Andrea, Joshua, Michael, Olivia, Evangeline, Elijah, Ashley, Emma and Kyle, son-in-law, Gregory Chvirko of Seymour, close family friend and caregiver, Don Oberg and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ed is predeceased by his daughter, Irene Chvirko.
