Edward H. Johnston III, 56, of Ashford, husband of Nancy A. (Canning) Johnston, died Thursday morning Aug. 10, 2006 at home. He was born March 3, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Lillian (McAlpine) Johnston of Tewksbury, MA. and the late Edward Johnston Jr. Ed had been most recently employed in the area by Roto-Rooter. He previously had been employed for 14 years by Bartlett Tree Experts and had also owned and operated Village Landscaping in Tewksbury. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by 2 sons, Corey A. Johnston and Sean C. Johnston both of Ashford; a daughter, Melanie H. Johnston of Columbia, 3 stepsons, Michael King of Coventry, Nicholas King of E. Hartford and Thomas Brum of Willimantic; 3 stepdaughters, Tammy-Lynn King of Searsport, ME., Renee Cote of Coventry and Samantha Brum of Ashford; and 10 grandchildren.
