Edward G Barankovich passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018 at J F K Medical Center, Edison. Ed was born in Carteret and resided in Rahway before moving to Edison since 1960. Edward proudly served our country in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by GATX in Carteret until he retired many years ago.
He was predeceased by his daughter Alice Barankovich, his brothers George, Steve, his sisters Marilyn, Gazella (Gussy), Amelia (Mitzy), Ellen, Genevieve (Jenny). Surviving are his wife of 59-years Mary Barankovich, his children Bernadine Applegate and her husband Charles, Marianne Demchak and her husband Richard, Teresa Wickham and her husband Robert, Audrey Dzema, Grace Hyman her husband Joseph, Fay Trisker and her husband Daniel also 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his sister Julia (Julie) Graffeo.
