Edward “Eddie” Wixson Coppernoll, age 95, of Stockton, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Edward was born on July 3, 1921 in Morseville, IL to the late John and Alma (Wixson) Coppernoll.

Edward served in the army during WWII. He owned and operated a restaurant in Stockton and “Eddie’s Concession Stand” at the Stockton Park. He retired after working as a custodian for the Stockton School District. Edward was a member of the Plum River Masonic Lodge and enjoyed car rides, eating Manny’s Pizza, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Taylor of Savanna, IL, many nieces and nephews, and close friend and caretaker, Jessica Canon and family of Stockton, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Coppernoll, and three sisters, Nettie Mae Dixon, Nelda Drain, and Alma (Sis) Reed.
