Edward “Ed” J. Larrañaga, 53, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Walter and Vangie Delwiche, Frank and Elvira Larranaga; aunts: Caroline Gutierrez (Bebe), Molly Tenorio; uncles: Walter Delwiche, Jr. (Toto), and Paul Larrañaga.
Edward is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 25 years Genevieve Larrañaga; sons: Kobee Larrañaga, Kacee Larrañaga; brothers: Roger Larrañaga (Angela) father Jerry Larrañaga; mother Dorothy Larrañaga; also nieces and nephews: Anais Larrañaga, Roman Larrañaga, Ava Hernandez, Alana Hernandez.
Edward loved the Dallas Cowboys, Dr. Pepper, his toys – truck, RV, boat, his job, his co-workers, his dogs especially Gizmo; but most of all, he loved his boys Kobee and Kacee, Gen and his family and friends. Ed was so happy and content with the life he built – he was truly the foundation of his family.
He was proud to get his 25-year service award from Presbyterian – his job was support, but that was really what his life was all about. Edward supported his family. He was always there to cheer on the boys during their games. He was side by side with Gen as she went through cancer. He loved working with his brother Roger fixing up cars.
Besides watching the boys play sports, he also loved to race cars (and watch Street Outlaws). He loved camping and fishing and watching reality tv with Gen. Edward’s ideal Friday night? At home, take out, sitting side by side with Gen, watching Fast and Furious. Edward could whistle any tune he heard, especially oldies.
Edward was loved by everyone who knew him because he was such a good man, such a devoted father and such a loving husband. He will be missed forever and life will not be the same without him.
