Edward “Ed” Charlton, 56 of Grafton passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown with his family by his side from complications of Covid-19. He was born September 18, 1965 in Philippi, the son of the late Clarence “Bill”  and Martha Deloris Brown Charlton.

Ed attended Grafton High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. He was a Master Electrician, Plumber, HVAC and Waste Water Treatment certified. He worked many years while owning and operating his own construction business Charlton Construction. He took great pride in building custom log homes and was proud of the projects he completed through his business or just helping others.

Ed is survived by two daughters, Alyssa Charlton, of Grafton, Tosha Leach (Keith), Grafton; five grandchildren, Ben, Chloie, Dakota, Willow and Ryder; girlfriend Nancie Propst, Morgantown and her son Hunter Cornwell, Morgantown, mother of Ed’s children, Lisa Bolyard Leach, Grafton; three sisters, Laura Lafferty (Lester) Grafton, Tammy Charlton, Canton, OH, Billie Jo Charlton, Grafton; a brother, Joseph Charlton, Grafton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Ed is preceded in death by a brother Clarence Matt Charlton.
