Edward C. Smith, age 55, of Edwardsburg, died peacefully Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born November 22, 1959 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Walter and Louise (Clark) Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Brenda Lee Smith and Tammy Peisker. Eddie was an accomplished artist.
He was highly mechanically inclined and could fix or build just about anything. Eddie loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar – loudly.
Edward will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one daughter, Emerald (Ryan) Higgins of Cassopolis; two sons, David Smith of Niles and Daniel Smith of Cassopolis; eight grandchildren, Makayla Smith, Jaston Smith, Jayla Smith, Morgen Higgins, Landen Higgins, Cadon Smith, Jessica Heroy, Domonic Heroy; one sister, Linda (Mark) Warren of Niles; one brother, Roger Smith of Cassopolis; and longtime girlfriend, Carol Grayam; a host of nieces and nephews; and his cat, Stinky, that only liked him.
