Edward Lee “Buster” Martin, age 84, of Woodville, GA passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Buster was born March 25, 1935 in Lincolnton, GA to the late Joshua Hill Martin and Mable Harbuck Martin. Buster graduated from Lincolnton High School. After graduation, he entered into the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for twenty-one years receiving an honorable discharge in December of 1974. On August 26, 1954 he married the former Joann Godbee from Union Point, GA. After moving back to Greene County he worked at Godbee’s Country Store in Siloam, GA and later he was the owner and operator of M & G Amoco Food Mart in Union Point, GA retiring in 2000. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all sports, especially football including the Georgia Bulldogs and the Lincoln County Red Devils. He also enjoyed camping.
