Edward B. Gendreau, age 79, of West Haven, CT, beloved husband of 40 years to Elizabeth Ann Burbank Gendreau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born on August 29, 1935, to the late Raymond A. and Simone L. Gendreau in Fall River, MA.
He honorably served with pride in the US Marine Corps during the Korean conflict serving two tours. Prior to his retirement, he was an assistant planner for ABCD Inc. in Bridgeport. He was known for his love of cooking, was an avid NASCAR racing fan and a talented woodworker. Edward’s love of family and generosity will always be remembered by those who knew him.
Besides his wife, Elizabeth, Edward leaves behind his sons, Wayne J. Gendreau (Diane Roberts) of Milford, CT and David M. Gendreau of Cape Cod, MA; his daughters, Ann Beth Gendreau of New Haven, CT, Tiara Elizabeth Simone Burbank Gendreau and Lorna Burbank of AL; his grandsons, Shawn M. Gendreau and Michael R. Gendreau; nieces, Jenny Gendreau of IA and Aimee Gendreau of KY; brother, Robert (Pete) Gendreau (Kathy) of Lexington, KY; and cousin and forever friend, Robert M. Rousseau of Tiverton, RI.
