Edward Ansley was born to Alvie and Pearl (Hancock) Ansley on December 9, 1935 in Urbandale, Iowa.

Ed grew to manhood in Lucas County, Iowa and went to be with his Lord on September 15, 2013 at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 6 days.

Ed worked for several grocery chains and was Special Deputy of Lucas County several years.

He was also in maintenance work at Southgate Apts in Chariton.

On June 13, 1997, Ed married the “love of his life”, Connie Medearis.

He loved his family very much.

Ed enjoyed fishing and riding his John Deere mower while caring for his yard and property at Lazy Days Ranch at Melrose, Iowa.

Ed also enjoyed eating, always saying “Boy, that’s good!”

Ed is survived by his “Best Buddy”, his wife, Connie, also two sons, Ron and wife Elaine, of Indianola, IA; Steve and wife, Suzi of Hermosa Beach, California; daughter, Lynn and husband, Bryan Flannery of Indianola, Iowa; daughter Melissa Ansley Brooks and husband, Justin of Richmond, Virginia, and bonus daughter, Marci Ruff and husband Brian of Knoxville, Iowa.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law Geneva Long who loved Ed dearly, three sisters-in-laws and 3 brothers-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Todd and his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ansley.
