Allen, Edward Floyd, age 84, of Trussville, went peacefully to be with his Lord and beloved wife “Gigi” on August 7, 2012. Together they raised five children. Mr. Allen was a loving husband, Daddy, and Pap Paw. He was a veteran of World War II and was retired as a steel engineer for Pinson Valley Fabricators. Mr. Allen was a member of Norwood Baptist Church for over 50 years and was currently a member of Huffman Baptist. He was a lay minister, choir director, lifetime deacon and Sunday School teacher. He is survived by his daughters Linda (Charles) Johnson, Vicki (Kevin) Folse, Connie (Tim) McDowell, sons David (Alice) Allen, Brad (Anne) Allen, Jason (Lee Ling) Kwan, grandchildren Scott, Mike (Linda), and Jarod Johnson, Staci Folse, Jennifer (Joe) Stephenson, Jonathan (Gena) and Brandon Hyatt, Megan (Michael) Mobley, Michelle Rhodes, Nick (Amanda) McDowell, Katie (Curtis) Frost, Desiree` Allen, Sherri (Danny) Dodson, Madison Allen, Aaron and Christy Kwan, great grandchildren Beatrize, Christina, Logan, Joshua, Landon, Caitlin, Kennedy, Dylan, Cohen, Caden, Callyn, Cash, Amber, Summer, Karis, Harper, Sean, Keegan and Nikki. He was preceded in death by his parents William B. and Lyda Allen and five siblings.
