Alan Webb, aged 49, of Fairfield, CT, beloved husband of Janine and loving father of Jarratt (12) and Nina (10), passed away suddenly at his Fairfield home on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Alan was born in Marietta, Georgia on April 5, 1970. He is survived by his parents, Carla and Jack Webb, of Alpharetta, GA, sister, Ashley Webb, her husband, Jeff Giles, of Sandy Springs, GA, mother-in-law, Patricia Giacomini, of Old Forge, PA, sister-in-law Carina Klinetob, her husband, Bob Klinetob, and nephews Colby and Drew, of Dallas, PA. At an exceptionally young age, Alan had a knack for languages and demonstrated this at the age of six, when he started speaking with and interpreting for his Japanese neighbors. Alan went on to major in East Asian Studies at the University of Washington and studied abroad in Tokyo at Japan’s prestigious Waseda University. This experience sparked a life-long love for the Japanese culture and language in which he was fluent. After graduation, Alan pursued a career in information technology, which allowed him to conduct business and travel all over the world. After meeting his wife, Janine, in Hoboken, NJ, in 2004, they married and settled in Fairfield, CT in 2006. Alan was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who loved exploring new places in his Volkswagen Eurovan, seeking the most pristine and peaceful places nature had to offer. Not only did Alan love the outdoors, he inspired his children and family to appreciate and love nature as much as he did by bringing them along on camping and fishing trips. At home, he was often found designing landscapes for the garden.
