Edward A. Smith, 70, Anderson, died April 26, 2007 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a sudden illness.
He was born March 31, 1937 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life. He retired from Yorktown Tool & Die and he also worked for B & G Quality Tool & Die in Anderson. Edward was a coin collector and was a member of the Anderson and Muncie Coin Clubs. Woodworking was his hobby and he enjoyed working in the yard. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife whom he married May 25, 1962: Mary Swartz Smith. Son: Robert Tackett of Greensburg. Brothers: Richard Smith and Gerry & wife Karen Smith. Sisters: Shirley Zachary, Judy Clark/Ringley & Ben Ringley, Carolyn Sanders and Sharon & husband Larry VanMatre. Several Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George & Gladys Baker Smith.
