Edward A. “Hoot” Gibson passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at home in Willingboro, NJ at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents and sister; Edward and Margaret (Taranto) and Jean Smith. Hoot is survived by family and friends; John and Linda Gibson, Helen Taft, Joseph and Matthew Connell (with whom he resided), Joseph Michael, Frank and Pamela Kilcoyne, David Smith and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Edward was extremely athletic and participated in martial arts, basketball, swimming, badminton and was a master at ping pong. He was legally blind but never let his disability hold him back from enjoying sports. Hoot was very well known in the tri-state area due to his musical abilities. He was on the Al Albert’s Showcase and Bandstand. His Band opened for many major bands for years.
Edward was a sessions recording singer for the Soul Survivors and Del Vikings. His group the Emanons cut a record called the Emanon Rock. He worked many events as a singer with his group The Bondzmen.
