Eduardo “Eddie”, (family nickname) “Chendin” Muniz, Was born February 9, 1971 to Rosendo and Rosa Muniz, born in Parral Chihuahua Mexico. Came to the United States at age 5;was temporary residing in Grand Junction, Colorado;and returned back to age 13, he dropped out of school and worked with his dad Rosendo, doing mechanic work and manual labor. At age 17 he move back to Grand Junction, and made this his permanent home. While living here, he worked at Palisade Orchards; for a couple of years; and later worked at the U.S. sack factory.

At age 24, Eddie met the love of his life, Peorria, they Married June 16, 1995. They have three beautiful children, Magdelena “Maggie” age 19; Alejandra “Allie” age 17; And Isaac age 13. He was a loving, caring and giving dad, he provided for his family while working at Holsum Bakery. After Holsum closed down, he worked at Ed Bozarth, and Grand Valley Hyundai, detailing all types of vehicles, maintained the parking lot area, and etc.. Due to layoffs and change in management, he worked at Heritage Senior Home and Grand Villa Nursing Home as a chef. Eddie was and is an excellent cook. The residents loved him, not only for his cooking, but his love and care for the people that lived there.

Eddie was divorced in December, 2012; and remarried August 2014, to Valerie Page. During his life with Valerie he was employed at Industrial Insulation. Late fall 2014, Eddies health started to decline, due to uncontrollable seizures and was diagnosed with Neuropathy. Throughout the year 2015, he was being treated at Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, CO. No matter how sick and where he’s at he never forgets to share the Gospel with others. 

When Eddie was starting to feel a little better, Eddie and his mom started a Landscaping business; his dream was to have his own business; he filled his dream for a short time, but didn’t get to finish it; because our Lord Savior took him home.

God heard his prayer and knew how much pain he was in; and in order to give him peace, Eddie went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14th, 2015. Eddie is survived by his children, Maggie, Allie, Isaac, their mother Peorria and mother-in-law Juanita; and current wife Valerie. His parents Rosendo and Rosa Muniz; brothers Noel (Susie), Bryant, sisters Claudia (Luis) Garcia, Theresa (Fernando) Duran; Several aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins and Abuelita Juana.

Eddie will be missed by all, we loved him and now he is free from pain and no more suffering. God Bless you Eddie “Chendin” and we love you.
