He is survived by his Wife Paula and children; Christina, Lilliana, Eduardo, and Carlos; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grand kids. He was preceded in death by his parents Velica and Gancho Dilchoff.
He was born in Bulgaria on March 20,1933, to Velica and Gancho Dilchoff. They moved to Argentina when he was 3 years old. He was married and had two children, Eduardo and Lilliana. He moved to the US on November 22, 1963. The day JFK was shot. He made sure we knew that day. He met Paula Figueroa in Los Angeles and Carlos was born on January 7th of 1966 and Christina on December 16th 1970. His charisma and drive made him successful in sales of Life Insurance, Real-estate and cars.
“Savages” would often be screamed in the front room of my parents’ house. My father had enough of his grandkids running around. The kids knew he could not catch him so they would keep running around. Little punks. The grandkids got tattoos of the word Savages in Cyrillic which is the Bulgarian language. They loved their Tata.
Eduardo would often regale you with his stories of being on the rooftop of his work watching the Argentine revolution, or the time he punched his father’s favorite horse so hard he knocked it out and thought his life had ended, or maybe he would pull his pant legs up over his knees to show you the scars on his knees from 27 surgeries. He encountered the world on his terms, loved his people fiercely, and left this world when he was damn ready. You will be missed Gaucho.
