Edsel Lee “Ed” Bassett, 79, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at his residence.
He was born, November 26, 1932 in Rowan County, the son of the late Luther and Annie Mae Lisk Bassett.
Mr. Bassett was educated in Cabarrus County schools. He was a retired electrician for China Grove Textiles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Daughter Lisa Bassett, Step-sons Kevin and Michael Clontz, Sisters, Willine Canup, and Clara Readling.
Those left to cherish his memories are wife Doris Clark Bassett whom he married August 8, 1988; son Steve Bassett of Salisbury; daughter Pam Barger of Salisbury; step-sons James (Sheila) and Jeffrey (Sherry) Clontz of Lexington; brother Larry Bassett of Concord; sisters Lorretta Lankford and Christina Holbrook of Knightdale; special nephew, Danny Holbrook of Florida, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
