Edna M. Shimp
Edna M. Shimp, daughter of Hugh and Laura Smith, Rossell, was born July 16, 1912 at Ballantine, Montana. Several years later the family moved from the ranch to Iowa.
Edna graduated from Chariton High School, Class of 1931. Following graduation, she taught school in Pottawattamie. Edna was united in marriage to Don Wheeler; Rev. Stark performed the marriage in the Bridge’s home, just as he had for Edna’s three sisters.
After Don’s death, Edna married Verle Shimp.
Edna is preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Edna is survived by one brother; Robert Rossell of Lewis, Iowa, brother-in-laws; Melvin Shimp, Ruth, Marvin Shimp, Mary and many nieces and nephews.
