Mrs. Edna Marie Pinnix, 76, of 1022 Montlieu Ave. earthly journey came to an end on Saturday, July 02, 2011 at Westwood Nursing Home in Archdale.
Edna was born November 21, 1934 in Lilesville, NC to the late Gentie Lee Ingram and Nezzie Lee Kirby Ingram. Edna accepted Christ at an early age at Pee Dee Baptist Church in Wadesboro, NC. After graduating from Henry Grove High School she moved to High Point, where she was a resident for over fifty years. She was a charter member of Greater First United Baptist Church. She loved her church family and was a member of the Agape Missionary and the Bereavement Committees and worked with various auxiliaries in the church. ” Ria” as she was affectionately called by her family, loved to cook. Sweet potato pies were her thing. If she knew you and loved you, you got a sweet potato pie. She would look for you after church to give you your pie that was made especially for. Next to cooking she loved to read and believed that reading would take you anywhere you would want to go.
Additionally to her parents, a daughter, Sonjia Pinnix Terry preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Odessa Ingram of Baltimore, MD; nephews, Larry and Gunsey Ingram, and niece Eadria Brown all of Baltimore, MD; Caregivers, Linda and Ben Sturdivant; beloved and devoted son-in-law, Claude Terry; very special friends, Tommie Dunlap and Tommie Maddison; a host of relatives and friends who loved her and will miss her very much.
