Edna M Mahon, 86, of Anderson, passed away August 4, 2017 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born on March 18, 1931 in Patoka, Indiana. Edna graduated from Oakland City College with a Bachelor’s Degree, and also graduated from Ball State University with a Masters degree. She retired from Anderson School Corporation where she was a Teacher. She was a member of South Meridian Church of God.
Edna is survived by her 2 sons, Robert (Tammy) Mahon of Cambridge City, Paul Mahon of Traverse City, MI; daughter, Paula (Don) Gniffke of Anderson; brother, Leonard Hartley; 3Sisters, Mary Herring, Anna Lee Williams, and Mildred Corzine; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer (Lucas) Burdess, Heather Mahon, Alex Mahon, Adam Mahon, Nathan Gniffke, Jeremy Gniffke, Maggie Gniffke, Samantha Mahon, and Joey Mahon; great-grandson, Harry Burdess.
She was preceded in death by father, Golden Hartley; mother, Elva Hartley; husband, Jarrell H. Mahon; sister, Ina Edwards; grandson, Cody Mahon.
