Edna M. Nelson, age 87, of Rensselaer passed away Sunday June 14, 2009 at the Rensselaer Care Center. Edna was born December 28, 1921, in Mt. Ayr, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jay L. and Nelle M. (Parker) Miller.
Edna was a 1939 graduate of the Mt. Ayr High School. She was a retired bookkeeper and worked for Schultz Gas Company in Lansing, IL for 10 years. She was a member of the Roselawn United Methodist Church, and affiliated with Trinity United Methodist Church of Rensselaer.
Edna married in Mt. Ayr on July 21, 1946 to John Carl Nelson who passed away January 5, 1997.
She is survived by: Carol V. Bailey, daughter, Springfield, IL; Kenneth E. Nelson, son, Las Vegas, NV; Beth Zeigler, sister, Rensselaer, IN; Sarah Bailey, granddaughter; Sydnee Guzouskis, great-granddaughter; She was predeceased by: Her parents; Jay Miller, brother
