Edna May Lassen, 93 of Matawan, NJ, died peacefully at her home of nearly 70 years on April 20, 2022.

She was born in Newark, NJ, to Stanley Craig  and Mary Wardrop (Allan) Little on December 27, 1928.  On May 17, 1947, in Union Beach, NJ, she married the love of her life, Foster Carl Lassen.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising the large family she had always wanted.  She also worked for many years at Sears before she and Foster retired and spent 2 decades traveling around the country and a few times to Europe.  They spent 19 winters in Fort Myers, FL, enjoying the sun and well-earned leisure.  Edna was a member of First Baptist Church of Matawan, NJ.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 71 years; sons Craig John and Brent William Lassen; and daughter-in-law Michele Banafato Lassen.

She is survived by a daughter Jeanette Sidman (Gary) of Great Bend, KS; sons Foster James Lassen (Phyllis) of Northampton, PA, Mark Allan Lassen of Cliffwood, NJ, Wayne Howard Lassen (Linda) of Abingdon, MD, and Eric Ross Lassen of NJ; and her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  We will remember her smile, her laughter, and the stories she loved to tell.
