Born on February 12, 1950, in Rensselaer she was the daughter of Georgia (Jill) and Raymond Williams of Demotte, now deceased.
She graduated from Demotte High School with the class of 1968. On January 30, 1970, she married Ronald L. Hayes and he survives.
Edna was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken of Rensselaer for 14 years and Schumacher Electric Co. in Rensselaer for 14 years before retiring due to ill health. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Surviving with her husband is one son, E. Thomas Hayes of Rensselaer. She was preceded in death by two sons.
Other survivors include two sisters, Jane Hilton of Monon, and Judy (Gene) Justice of Mississippi; and five brothers, Gerald “Jerry” (Linda) Williams of Remington, John (Janice) Williams, Jim (Deb) Williams and Joe (Rhonda) Williams, all of Demotte, and Jack (Pat) Williams of North Judson. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her very much.
