Edna Louise Hoffman, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart. She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Berne to Hugh J. and Hope V. (Hart) Moyer.
On July 30, 1977, she married Dale E. Hoffman in Decatur.
In addition to her loving husband, other survivors include three sons, Jerry (Nancy) Hoffman of Ann Arbor, Mich., Dick (Regina) Hoffman of New Palestine and Mark (Joanne) Eichhorn of Granger; two daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Roswell of Edmond, Okla. and Rachel Eichhorn of Elkhart; two sisters, Goldie Eix of Fort Wayne and Lois (Ron) Ballard of Decatur; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Edna worked as a CNA for more than 30 years prior to her retirement at Elkhart General Hospital. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Edna enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her dog, Precious. Edna loved her family and cherished being a mother and grandmother above all else.
