Edna Hylton Gendron, 88, of 1810 Spruce Street, Apt. 116, Martinsville, VA died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at her home. She was born on December 24, 1922 in Roanoke, VA to the late William Taylor Hylton and Laura Stamback Hylton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Steven Gendron and two sisters, Dorothy Garber and June Hannabass. Mrs. Gendron was a member of Hollands Road Church of the Brethren, Roanoke, VA. Surviving are her husband, Edwin A. Gendron, Sr. of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin A. Gendron, Jr. and wife, Eva Gendron of Martinsville, VA and Gregory Taylor Gendron, Sr. and wife, Phylis Gendron of Stoneville, NC; six grandchildren, Edwin Gendron, III, Ashley Gendron, Gregory T. Gendron, Jr., Erin Gendron, Cliff Lester and Chris Lester and six great-grandchildren.
