Elaine had been employed at several high-end restaurants in Indianapolis and Kokomo, Indiana, New York and Detroit, Michigan. Elaine was also employed by Pi Beta Phi, a sorority on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She retired from the sorority as a cook in the early 2000’s.
Elaine enjoyed dancing, playing cards, listening to music, cooking and lending a helping hand when needed. She also had been a caregiver to her great aunt and great uncle Lloyd and Lou Garvin.
Elaine and Doris Davie were best friends. Their friendship and bond spanned 75 years. Both of them always had an address and telephone number to keep in touch.
